​The Ivan Racheff House & Gardens Annual Greens Tea was held on December 8, 2023. Guests had a wonderful and beautiful selection of wreaths and designs to add to their home Christmas decor. There were many delicious and decadent breads and sweets, jams and jellies, available at the Bake Sale. Guests enjoyed delicious refreshments with punch or coffee. It was a wonderful and festive event!

The Ivan Racheff House & Gardens Fall Festival 2023 was enjoyed by many visitors - even goats. Live music included the sizzling sounds of B. Richard and his guitar, as well as the soulful Appalachian music from Boogertown Gap. Visitors took in the sweet sounds of The Knoxville Dulcimer Group. The No Name Band concluded the festival with their little bit of rock, a little roll, some country, and a whole lot of fun! Kids were entertained at the Kids Zone trying their luck at the games. Hotdogs, Walking Tacos, and desserts were available for tasty treats. It was a beautiful fall day for this event!

A guided tour through the Ivan Racheff Arboretum was led by Tom Welborn, a retired EPA Wetlands Forester and Former Chair of Trees Knoxville. Visitors enjoyed the educational walk through the arboretum and took advantage to photograph unique plants throughout the arboretum.

Gold Star Memorial Marker Dedication Ceremony

The Gold Star Memorial Marker Dedication Ceremony was held on September 17, 2023. The Ivan Racheff House & Gardens, along with the Tennessee Federation of Garden Clubs, Inc., collaborated with installing the Gold Star Memorial Marker to honor families of fallen soldiers. Janie Bitner, District IV Director, hosted the unveiling ceremony anchored by Don Dare journalist from WATE-TV. The event included notable speakers such as Knoxville major, Indya Kincannon; longest-held POW Bill Robinson; NGC Blue & Gold Star Marker Chairperson Pamela Dowd; an Honor Guard and Bagpiper. This marker makes the fourth Gold Star Marker in Tennessee.

The Ivan Racheff House & Gardens Plant Sale was held on April 29, 2023 from 9 am - 3 pm. There was a great selection of plants from local nurseries and area TFGC garden clubs as well as unique craft items.

There were many delicious and decadent breads and sweets, jams and jellies, available at the Bake Sale. Guests enjoyed refreshments with punch or coffee. It is an event you would not want to miss!
